Blue Oyster Mushroom Spawn (Pleurotus ostreatus)

Species name: Pleurotus ostreatus var. Blue Pearl 

This strain forms heavy, dense clusters of beautiful pearlescent blue mushrooms. They are great for commercial growers as yields are big and the caps are thick and robust, standing up to some handling.

The mycelium is vigorous, making it more forgiving for first-time growers but it does prefer colder conditions so grow seasonally if you don’t have the ability to control your growing temperature. You will grow darker blue caps and more dense clusters in cooler temperatures. If grown at the warmer end of their range, colour will be steely blue-grey. Pick at immature-adolescent stage to avoid colour fade.
